Griz Nation!

After browsing the list of topics I could write about, I decided to ramble about what it's like to go to the football games during season.

Let's see. At first I didn't know what to expect when I went to my first Griz game. I've grown up watching football my whole life... on TV, during high school, and one time attended a Dallas Cowboys game at the old stadium. In high school, I knew most of the players, so it was always fun to cheer for your friends. As a freshman, it was a little overwhelming being around drunk fans, while watching players you don't know yet. I went to a fair share of games, and I joined in on the touchdown chants, etc. You meet a lot of people at games, although sometimes the alcohol causes you to not remember the names of the people you met the day before. Awful.

The first game I went to was super hot, and I had a hard time not getting burnt on just one side of my face...yet as the weeks progressed it chilled up a bit, and being from Texas, it was hard to bare the cold. Therefore, that's when the alcohol came in handy...instant belly warmer. Joking, half-heartedly.

Um, overall the Griz games are definitely worth it, but I feel really bad for the people who have to clean up the stadium...ew.

It's kind of a "you love it or you hate it" series...

So there are a few shows I've religiously watched every week since I was introduced to them: Entourage, Laguna Beach, The Hills, The Office, etc -- but there's one show that comes above all the rest. Law & Order has been a favorite show of mine ever since I started watching it 3 years ago.

Some people prefer CSI or whatever, but I like to think that Law & Order has a more realistic touch to it. I mean really, I watch CSI when there's nothing else on, but they'll find a tiny piece of glass in a 6,000 sq foot church within five minutes. I guarantee that doesn't happen very often in real life. I know it all has to be crammed into an hour, but...

Alot of people say it's boring, but I've learned a lot about law just from watching the show! I'm in no shape to be a lawyer or anything, but I've gained knowledge of small things that come along with the profession.

I know a lot of people who love it but more people who hate it. They'd rather be watching South Park or a funny comedic show like that...which I understand, because I enjoy those every now and then, but I couldn't watch them everyday. I can only take so much of repulsive humor.

Too good to last...

Needless to say, I'm a little bummed that this past week flew by so fast. The school weeks drag on and on, but relaxation weeks seem to disappear fairly quick. Over the break, I spent a lot of the time w/ my family, as well as friends that I don't get to spend everyday with. The weather was pretty nice for the most part, so I tried to spend a lot of the time outside. My week wasn't too thrilling, but anything is better than sitting in the dorms day on end. It was nice to catch up with the fam for more than a weekend, but at the same time I missed being in Missoula on the weekends. School...not so much. This last month is going to be a long one I'm pretty sure.

Instead of actually going somewhere fun this break, due to expenses and unemployment, my friends and I brainstormed places to go next spring break once we're all situated in houses outside of the dorms. We were thinking Mexico? Not so much the inner city, where people seem to get killed often now a days, but like a resort (all-inclusive) or something along those lines. All I can say is, better start making some money. Hope everyone had a great break, and lets make the best of this last month!
